Camp Emerald Bay was July 24-30, 2016 and we had a total of 27 scouts in the merit badge camp and 2 scouts that did the High adventure camps - Rugged SCUBA and Rugged Explorer. Some of the activities were War Canoe, Troop Snorkel, Troop Kayak, Troop Mountain Biking, Troop Burgers on the Beach. There were free-time activities like motor boating, sailing, rowing, and shooting rifle and shot gun. "Emerald Bay was a fun and exciting trip for all scouts whether they went on rugged-E or if they were with the rest of the camp. As a troop we got to canoe, paddle board, ride bikes and snorkel. But best of all we got time to spend with each other, and other scouts from around the country, in a setting that was picturesque." - Scout Eli Estrada
Troop 502 also was awarded a special Gold Level commendation at Camp Emerald Bay:
